In November 2012 we invited members of the Wellington Fly Fishing Club to test our fishing boats on the water. We paddled the Rangitikei River from the confluence of the Hautapu River and the Rangitikei River some 12 km down to the Motor camp at Mangaweka.
We had mid flow and the river was running clear. On the way down the party of 6 stopped several times to cast the line and to swap boats so every one had a go on each boat. The river is Grade 1 white water most of the time, with two challenging Grade 2 rapids. None of the party (apart from Martin Straka, our sales manager) had significant white water skills, and no one had difficulty negotiating the rapids.
Testimonials:
Tim Lee: "Martin, thanks for all of the effort in organising Fridays Rafting trip, It was a great day. The craft are terrific."
Strato Cotsilinis: "Totally agree. Excellent day"
